I am so glad that you have taken the time to get on our website to find out a little more about our church! My name is Kyle Strauser and I am the senior pastor at The Vine. I joined The Vine in January 2015 and I can honestly tell you that I love it here! We are a congregation of loving people that are dedicated to serving Jesus and one another. 

I have been married to my wife Christine for 33 years and we have two adult daughters, Katie and Natalie. Christine works at The Vine as our Administrative Assistant. Katie works as a Labor & Delivery Nurse in Avon Indiana. Natalie attended culinary school and manages a restaurant here in Crawfordsville. We also have two wonderful grandsons, Levi and Jackson. I am a 2005 Graduate of Johnson Bible College in Knoxville, Tennessee with a dual major in The Bible and in New Testament Preaching.

I have been in ministry for 29 years and also worked for 10 years as a mechanical designer for Otis Elevator Company in Bloomington, Indiana before the Lord called me into ministry. I love people and love being a minister in the Lord’s church. There is nothing else in life that I would rather do more than serve in the church and be able to minister to God’s people as they also minister to me. My family and I have grown to love this community and we hope and pray that we can get to know you as well. So stop by The Vine and say Hi! We would love to meet you!

Hi, My name is Phil Burkhardt, and I am the Discipleship Pastor here at The Vine. My wife Stacey and I have been married for 29 years. We have 3 adult children and 3 grandsons. We started SUPRB Trucking and Snow Removal Company here in Crawfordsville 27 years ago and we believe that God is the owner, we are just the overseers of the company. We believe the purpose of SUPRB is to glorify God as we oversee things on a day to day basis. For Stacey and I, we believe that God has asked us to live in this world but not become "of this world." We know that He just wants us to follow Him. So, as we serve here at The Vine, we look forward to worshipping, walking and working along side all who serve here. We know that in this life we can truly live in the hope that Jesus is who He truly claims to be. Let's search and discover who Jesus truly is together!

I was born and raised in Small-town, USA, otherwise known as Ladoga, IN. I lived in that great thriving metropolis for around 18 years before heading off to Knoxville, Tennessee to go to Johnson University. After Johnson, I married my beautiful wife on July 1, 2017 where we spent the next 2 years living in East TN and then Orlando Florida. We have two wonderful sons as well!

I graduated from Johnson University – Tennessee (’17) with an undergraduate degree in both Bible & Theology and Media Ministry. I then went on to obtain my master’s degree in Strategic Ministry from Johnson University – Florida (’19).

My entire personality is very laid back. I grew up in a sarcastic family, and I myself have those same sarcastic traits. I am so thankful that you have accepted me into your family! I am honored to be here and am looking forward to serving the people of Crawfordsville!

I am Lil' Bill Parr, the Children's Minister here at the Vine. I grew up on a small farm in Jamestown, Advance, and New Ross here in Indiana. I started ministry in 1993 after a mission trip to Australia. I became an intern at the Dover Christian Church, where I grew up going. I eventually went to Lincoln Christian College(now University) studying youth and children's ministry.

Over the last 30 years I have done many things to supplement my income. I have been a dog walker, car salesman, sold and installed appliances, repoman, fire fighter/EMT, Fire Chaplain, summer camp counselor, camp advocate, substitute teacher, and multiple different sports coach. I currently coach Golf and Football at North Montgomery Middle School. I also have worked with foster care and mentor several boys in our community. 

I hope you find the Vine as loving and friendly as I have over the last few years. The Vine has been my Church home since 2020.

My name is Christine Strauser and I am the Administrative Assistant. I began working at The Vine in June of 2022 after many years working in schools as an instructional assistant and substitute teacher.

I have been married to Pastor Kyle for 33 years. We have two adult daughters and two grandsons. We are originally from a small town in southern Indiana. We have lived in Crawfordsville since 2010. We enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling and camping.
